Caution: Intense Handcrafted Beers
Our good Ptown buddy tricia did a little beersearch before visiting us and storm brewing ranked high on her list to visit. 1:20pm on Saturday we call storm brewing to schedule a tour/tasting. We are invited to come over immediately. in a rustic meets industrial part of the drive, there it is…A small white warehousey space…storm brewing. Caution: intense handcrafted beers.
We had an amazingly cool experience here. A fine gentleman meets us outside. His name is dieter and he is 1 member of this 2 man organization lead by brewmaster James. We tasted the 4 Storm Brews while Dieter shared some uber-interesting things about the beers, the brewery, and the genius behind the entire operation James himself. They supply Vancouver only, they are available in kegs only, they can be found in some of the hippest bars in the city. The beer as well as the entire experience knocked our socks off. Note: special thanks to Kelby for being our designated driver for the day of tasting!
And if that wasn't life changing enough…we also were stoked by the guest appearance from Coal Harbour Brewing's brewmaster Daniel with tastings from a gallon jug of his newest creation. While we haven't been to this brewery, the small sample we had was awesome...and unlike any IPA we've had before. Stay tuned for a full review forthcoming. He loved that we were a Portland Oregon crew and we chatted about some Ptown favs such as the famous Reggie Deluxe at Pine State Biscuits.
