Garage conversion/ADU

At one point in our travels we tried to "go home" and figure out how to live more freely, but with a "home base" in Portland.

At some point we grew tired of paying rent and decided to convert our 2car garage into an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), so that we had a roof over our heads, but could continue renting (allowng someone else to pay the mortgage on) the house.
